G/O MEDIA APRIL 2019 - FEBRUARY 2020 SENIOR FACILITIES MANAGER

  • Ran an office space with 300+ employees including overseeing all facility contracts and services, negotiating and maintaining relationships with all vendors, as well as maintaining relationships with team leaders in Edit, Sales, Tech, and Executive levels. Full management of the Operations and Facilities budget. Point of contact for the landlord and building. Reported directly to the COO. 

  • Led all internal office communications, creating a positive culture for the company, developing and implementing methods to increase staff retention and overall morale of staff and teams. Oversaw all security, catered meals, and produced staff events and parties, ensuring interdepartmental engagement and employee retention.

  • Moved the company to a new office in Times Square within two weeks due to company transition under new ownership. Oversaw the renovation of the new office including gutting and re-furnishing all workspaces, renovating kitchen spaces, building out conference rooms, ensuring compliance with ADA standards, and securing new HVAC/BMS service agreements. Developed new office protocol and security while maintaining a stable work environment for staff.

  • Supervised Office Manager and full-time cleaning staff to ensure a clean and functional work environment. Initiated new office systems and protocols as needed and delegated tasks to team members for support.

GIZMODO MEDIA GROUP JUNE 2016 - APRIL 2019 FACILITIES MANAGER

  • Managed two offices and oversaw a team of two Office Managers and full-time cleaning staff at both locations. Oversaw all vendor/service agreements between both offices. Reported directly to the CEO and implemented the transition from Gawker Media to Univision. Dispatched all internal communications during the transition and developed office policies that improved employee engagement and streamlined processes.

  • Ensured positive relationships with vendors while consolidating costs in order to maintain in-office perks and benefits under deep budget cuts. Standardized operations across two offices in accordance with Univision’s corporate policies while launching inter-office initiatives.

  • Assisted HR and IT teams to establish new protocol under Univision, and maintained peak operational standards through many executive leadership changes, management changes, and budget cuts.

  • Supervised multiple in-office and inter-office moves. Relocated our Video Team and their entire studio and equipment to a new office. Finally, moved a staff of 85 people from our 419 Lafayette office into our 17th Street office, redesigned our office to accommodate the new teams and equipment, and closed down the 419 Lafayette office after the move.

  • Performed bi-monthly security audits at both office spaces, increasing security for all staff in response to safety threats against company and staff.

  • Renovated facilities at both offices on a regular basis including full bathroom renovations, installation of fully enclosed phone booths and acoustic panelling.


GAWKER MEDIA FEBRUARY 2012 - JUNE 2016 OFFICE MANAGER

  • Oversaw construction during buildout of a new office location, acted as landlord of previous office space and managed subtenants, liaised between Gawker Media and the building managers and engineers, monitored entire Operations budget, oversaw the build of a video recording studio in the new office space. Coordinated all company-wide events, parties, and perks for all staff.

  • Planned and produced all company events, oversaw expansion to a new floor in the building and worked with contractors to complete buildout, supervised Receptionist and cleaning crew, oversaw office move into a new office space, answered to the COO.

  • Oversaw all day-to-day functions of office space, collaborated with every department, assisted in catering and events, managed Executives’ calendars, coordinated domestic and international travel for staff of 180. Managed office shipping accounts and services, researched and priced all office purchases, responsible for communicating all company-wide information out to staff.

3RD WARD DECEMBER 2010 - JANUARY 2012 STUDIO MANAGER

  • Orchestrated the booking and scheduling of photo/video studios and workspaces while managing company wide calendars. Managed course registration, including enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals. Facilitated the setup and breakdown of all classes and photo shoots. Ensured seamless operation of the facilities, problem solving any issue that arose.

  • Assembled and distributed over 500 bikes to 3rd Ward members as an ongoing membership initiative, including scheduling pickup appointments and performing custom fittings for each member.

  • Maintained positive relationships with members and visitors, responding to all requests pertaining to the workspaces and classes offered within. Liaised between executive staff and member services.

  • Coordinated events and lectures, setup and breakdown for gallery openings and events.
